Kinnaird Radio Limited "KRL" came on air in Fraserburgh 10 years ago as a
Community Radio Station operating under the licence of Moray Firth Radio
enabling MFR to extend their broadcasting area to the eastern extremity of
their geographical listening area also allowing the local community of
Fraserburgh to obtain the benefits of local community broadcasting offered
by KRL as part of the wider broadcasting provision of MFR across North
Scotland.
Initially KRL began broadcasting at the top of the tower of the Dalrymple
Hall in Broad Street, Fraserburgh but moved a few years ago to their present
premises located on the first floor of the old Thomas Walker Hospital,
Charlotte Street, Fraserburgh. The station in all respects is run by
volunteers who also present the wide range of programming as part of the KRL
community broadcasting ethos.
